Other Important Notes

Overdraft Privilege & Protection
For the convenience of our eligible checking account customers, we provide a courtesy overdraft service called Overdraft Privilege. Once your account becomes eligible and with the first occurrence of an Overdraft, you will receive a letter by U.S. Mail that further explains the program and the fees associated with it. Overdraft protection services apply to all transactions and may help prevent overdrafts by automatically transferring funds to your checking account from another account you may have at First Community Bank. Fees may apply.

On January 26, 2026, your Union Bank account(s) will migrate to First Community Bank. Upon becoming our customer, you will be automatically enrolled in our Overdraft Privilege Program (ODP), subject to certain limitations.  ODP is one of several services we offer to help you cover overdrafts. With ODP, we will generally pay overdrafts on your account for checks, other transactions made using your checking account number, and automatic bill payments as long as you are enrolled in the service.

ODP does not cover overdrafts that occur because of one-time ATM and debit card transactions, but by enrolling in our Extended ODP service, you can authorize us to cover those, too.

If you have previously authorized Surrey Bank and Trust to cover overdrafts incurred because of one-time ATM and debit card transactions, we will continue to cover such overdrafts under our Extended ODP unless instructed by you to no longer cover such items.  If you wish to make changes to your enrollment in our Overdraft Privilege Program or Extended Overdraft Privilege after January 26, 2026, you can visit (https://www.firstcommunitybank.com/personal/overdraft-protection), or call our Customer Care Center at 800-971-4671.
